Проф. Gregory Kumar Sankaran, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Bath, United Kingdom ще изнесе доклад на тема:
"Holomorphic symplectic manifolds"
Резюме на доклада:
A K3 surface is a complex 2-manifold diffeomorphic to a smooth quartic hypersurface in CP^3. Holomorphic symplectic manifolds are higher dimensional analogues of K3 surfaces, but are not easily characterised in a few words. They are important for both differential and algebraic geometry and have been intensively studied for more than twenty years, but not many examples are known. In this talk I will explain what they are and why they are important, describe a few of the things that we know about them, and indicate some of the many open problems that remain.
