Focus, educational goals

The Master’s Programme of Embedded Systems envisages the mastery of in-depth theoretical knowledge in embedded and autonomous systems and the acquisition of a variety of practical skills related to the application of methods, models and technologies of computer-based monitoring and process management, information processing by intelligent sensor systems, processing of multimedia and other streaming data.

Training (knowledge and skills)

The program includes courses on computing for the needs of automated control, multimedia compression, image recognition, and more inherent tasks in embedded system. Another part of the courses is devoted to modern models and technologies for numerical and symbolic processing with applications in information, intelligent, mobile and autonomous systems and human-machine interfaces and their application in areas such as computer graphics, multimedia, robotics, cryptography, artificial intelligence systems, portable client systems, and more. The third component of the program is the courses related to system design organization, service-based architectures and other advanced technology and engineering paradigms such as large databases and component-based systems.

Professional competence

The programme develops competence, practical knowledge and experience in the field of analysis, design, testing and implementation of systems in all important areas of embedded applications and infrastructure - surveillance systems and intelligent sensors, autonomous control systems and robots, multimedia systems, mobile client devices and applications . An important feature of this program, stemming from the specifics of embedded systems, is the preparation of students for co-designing systems as a hardware and software component or adjusting applications to specific performance of executive platforms and infrastructure.
